RAVENOUS GREEN EARRING

This insect got unwittingly introduced in Europe from East Asia.

Because the beautiful moth can fly over long distances and has few natural enemies in this new habitat, it quickly took over the majority of Europe.

The squirmy caterpillars are represented as elegant dangling earrings, crawling on a bumpy boxwood branch.

The alternating dark and light green of the caterpillar’s body is depicted by green shades of Tourmaline. Set in 18K yellow gold.
