Huntsman spiders make little use of their webs as they stalk their prey amidst the vegetation. However during summer breeding season, the female spiders put their silk making abilities to use by constructing a protective wall of leaves around the egg sac. This fascinating breed of spider inspired the creation of this art deco spider ring.

The marquise cut peridot resembles the bright green abdomen of the female spider and is held tight as if the spider is latching onto her prey. The long legs are represented by sleek wires that rest atop the intricate spider silk. Every detail flows together to form a harmonious piece of jewellery.
